I remember when I saw the Losi Mini-T for the first time at iHobby 2003. It was unlike anything else that had come before it. I mean there were other minis and micros out there but those were all on-road-only vehicles. With the Mini-T you could go anywhere. It handled well, looked just like a XXX-T and it was actually pretty quick right from the box.
In the six years since my initial meeting with this legendary little truck the Mini-T has remained a force in RC. Sure some things have been changed along the way, some new iterations have come out as well but by and large the Mini-T has gone unchanged. That is until now. Losi has decided to shake things up a bit with its newest truck based on the Mini-T platform, the Mini-Desert Truck. Borrowing design queues from its larger 1/10-scale cousin, the Mini-Desert Truck looks and drives different. From its extended chassis, roll-tube front bumper and rear roll cage and realistic wheels, tires and body you can tell the Mini-Desert Truck is special from the first time you look at it. We've charged up a few battery packs and taken the dirt to the Mini-Desert Truck to see if it lives up to its predecessor's legacy.
