Model builders always identify full-scale homebuilt airplanes as favorite subjects and Van’s Aircraft RV-9 is certainly no exception. These airplanes always have excellent flying characteristics. E-flite provides a lot of experience designing models such as the new RV-9 450 ARF, and it shows when you take a look at the construction this model offers an RC pilot. This RV-9 includes a significant amount of scale detail and outline but is very easy to assemble and fly. Since it is an ARF, the builder will have to supply a motor, speed control, battery and radio but all the other needed hardware is in the box. The features are listed below, but John Redman brought the airplane over so we could do a video preview and see them for ourselves. The detailed cockpit catches your attention right away and there are other things that make this a very interesting new model. Watch our video preview in which John shows us the features and design of this new RC airplane.
