For the third, consecutive year JTEC Racing and Fun hosted what has become an early-fall tradition in the Horizon Hobby Shootout. Organized by Horizon Hobby's Sonny Brown, JTEC's Donnie Davis and race directed by non-other than World-Famous Scotty Ernst, the Horizon Hobby Shootout has seen some of the best 1/8-scale racing anywhere. This year was no-exception as we once again had drivers in attendance from all over North America competing for the coveted title of Winner of the Shootout.
While the racing was fabulous, every racer also walked away with something. Prizes and giveaways included multiple 50/50 drawings, a huge raffle that included an 8IGHT 2.0 Race Roller and a DX3R to the racer's gift bag. Just for being at the event everyone walked away with something cool to add that extra value to their race weekend.
As they have in the past Losi's Adam Drake, Dakotah Phend and Billy Fischer were in attendance. From the hot action on-track to the helping hand in the pits, it is always a great thing to have these classy drivers at any event. We were very thankful and lucky to have them here for a third year. We were also very lucky to get to see them on-track going head to head for the top spots in qualifying and in the mains. Dakotah Phend surprised many by his pace all weekend long—challenging Adam Drake and Billy Fischer for the top spots in qualifying. We have the main events posted below for you to view some of the best racing anywhere. Due to the time constraints we have split the longer Buggy and Truggy A-Mains into two 15-minute segments, while the 12-minute long E-Buggy A-Main is posted in its entirety. Once again we also have our Flickr photo stream below for you to enjoy too.
